A recent operation by the DEA targeting an unlicensed nightclub in Colorado Springs has resulted in the detention of 114 undocumented immigrants. The investigation has also uncovered the participation of active-duty service members stationed at Fort Carson.

Early Sunday, a significant law enforcement operation unfolded at a local club, where approximately 200 individuals were present. Agents from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and Immigration and Customs Enforcement conducted a raid at the venue. In a recent operation, DEA officials reported the seizure of drugs and weapons, along with the detention of dozens of individuals connected to suspected criminal activity.

Over a dozen active-duty soldiers attended, some serving as patrons while others were engaged in armed security duties. “Active-duty service members are serving as armed security guards,” stated Jonathan Pullen, chief of the DEA’s Rocky Mountain Division. The agency reported that it had been monitoring the club for several months, during which time it observed activities related to drug trafficking, prostitution, and violence.

In response to inquiries about the soldiers' knowledge of the club's illicit activities, Pullen stated, "I believe anyone who enters a nightclub at 3 a.m. is aware of what they are getting into."

Leadership at Fort Carson has officially confirmed the involvement of their soldiers. A spokesperson confirmed the presence of several Fort Carson service members during the operation, emphasizing that each case will undergo individual review. "Any form of illegal activity does not reflect the values upheld by our military."

Attorney General Pamela Bondi provided insights, indicating that individuals associated with the Tren de Aragua and MS-13 gangs were regular visitors to the club. She hailed the raid as a significant victory for public safety, highlighting the effectiveness of federal crime-fighting initiatives.

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) reported that 114 undocumented individuals were apprehended and subsequently transported for processing and possible deportation.

Fort Carson, situated just south of Colorado Springs, is a significant center for Army operations in the region and is the home of the 4th Infantry Division.
